Transportation
City transportation available at door.
Seamstress
There is a seamstress available on Wednesdays from 10:30-2:30. Cost are paid directly to the seamstress.
Courtyard
A paved stone walkway around the building, lawn chairs, benches, patio, and large deck are located in our Courtyard for your outside enjoyment.
Parking*
Your own individual parking spot awaits you with winter block heater receptacle.
Beauty Salon
There is a licensed hairdresser available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Appointments are necessary. Costs are paid directly to the hairdresser.
Incoming mail is placed in your private mail box by Canada Post. There is a Canada Post outgoing mail box located at the front entrance for your convenience.
SECURITY AND FIRE SAFETY
Pathways is locked securely in the evening with a call system in the vestibule and when activated the front door will be opened by the nurse or attendant on duty. If you are going away or are staying out over night it would be appreciated if you would let the office receptionist know so that the dietary and nursing staff can be informed of your absence.
There is a smoke detector and sprinkler system installed in each suite and fire pull stations in the corridors. Stairwells are located at each end of the corridors for maximum safety. We are connected directly into the Fire Hall and when an alarm is activated there is a quick response. Fire drills are held periodically to ensure all Residents and Staff are familiar with fire drill procedures.
Health Care
As we age, our needs change. Pathways Retirement Residence recognizes this and creates an individualized plan of care for each resident. Our Director of Care works closely with each resident and their families to meet their unique health needs to support independent living with individualized care.
We have a dedicated "Assisted Living" floor for those residents that need the added support.
Our caring and professional staff are available 24/7 to support you.
Support could include:
- Personal Care assistance
- Dressing
- Medication Management
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
- Physician recommendations
We also offer short term Convalescent care to any age group, where hospitalization is no longer needed, but feel they are unable to care for themselves by returning to their home.
Your convalescent stay will include:
- A furnished, private suite with ensuite bath
- 24-hour access to health care providers
- Emergency call system
- Three meals served daily, along with in between meal snacks and refreshments
- Tray service, if required
- Weekly housekeeping and laundry service
- A variety of activities, exercise classes, entertainment, and social events
- Access to all on site amenities
- Assistance with personal hygiene
- Assistance with activities of daily living
- Mobility assistance
Dining Services
Pathways is known for tasty, nutritious meals and delicious desserts served in our dining rooms. Depending on your own preferences, alternative choices are always made available.
When you become a Resident of Pathways our nursing staff will discuss with you your preferences, any dietary restrictions or allergies you may have. The Dietary Staff will be informed of your special needs. It is our desire to have your dining time be a pleasurable experience.
Guests are always welcome and a Private guest dining area is available for you to entertain. We would request that advance notification be given to our receptionist so that the Dietary Staff are prepared for your guests.

The selection of meals at Pathways are the result of many years of experience crafting menus. Our dietary staff strives to make sure your dining experience is always pleasurable.
